Description

Dreaming of a hammock but you have neither two well-placed trees nor any desire to drill into a wall? Our Double Hammock with Stand solves the problem: it arrives with its own reinforced steel frame and sets up anywhere, in ten minutes.

Terrace, lawn, poolside, living room or campsite: you put it down, you hook it up, you lie down. Two of you, no compromises.

Why choose this Double Hammock with Stand?

Most hammocks sold in the UK come on their own. Ours is a complete set, designed to last the whole season.

  • 🌳 No trees, no fixings: That's the whole point. The freestanding black powder-coated steel frame sits on the ground and moves wherever you like. No drilling, no hooks in the wall, no hunting for two trunks the right distance apart.
  • 💪 204 kg capacity (two adults): Steel frame and metal safety hooks. Two of you can settle in without hearing the frame creak, and without a second thought.
  • 🧵 High-density woven cotton: Unlike cheap polyester that clings to the skin, dense cotton breathes and spreads your weight evenly. The fabric wraps around your body instead of folding you in half — and that's the difference between twenty minutes and a two-hour nap.
  • 📏 6 hanging heights: the frame is drilled at six settings. You set the tension of the fabric — tighter for sitting up with a book, deeper for a nap — instead of putting up with whatever height two trees dictate.
  • ⏱️ Assembled in 10 minutes, no tools: Everything slots together. No screws to sort through, no unreadable instructions. And taking it down is just as quick when you pack up for winter.
  • 🎒 Nylon carry bag included: The whole set folds into its bag. It comes along in the boot for a weekend of camping, a day at the beach or a trip to friends.

Our Usage Tips

Set the stand on a flat, stable surface — firm lawn, terrace, paving. On soft ground, a plank under each foot stops it sinking in.

Care tip: cotton is a natural fabric. Bring the hammock in during prolonged heavy rain and let it dry flat before storing it: it will keep its colour and its softness season after season.

“Does it really take two adults?”

Yes: a stated load of 204 kg, on a reinforced steel stand with metal safety hooks. That's real headroom for two adults, not a theoretical limit you brush against every time you lie down. The frame doesn't flex or creak when two of you get in.

“Do you need two people to put it up?”

No. It all slots together, with no screws to sort through and no tools: allow about ten minutes on your own. Taking it apart is just as quick, which matters when you're storing it for winter or putting it in the boot.

“I've got no trees and no wall to fix it to — does it still work?”

That's exactly what it's for. The free-standing steel stand sits on the ground: no drilling, no hooks in the wall, no hunting for the right gap between two tree trunks. Patio, lawn, poolside, living room or campsite — you move it wherever you like, whenever you like.

“Cotton or polyester — what's the difference in practice?”

Cheap polyester sticks to your skin and folds your body in two. High-density woven cotton breathes and spreads your weight across the whole fabric, which wraps around you instead of sagging. That's the difference between twenty minutes and two hours of napping — and it's the one place we refused to cut costs.

“Can you adjust the tension of the fabric?”

The stand is drilled with six hanging notches. Tauter for reading upright, deeper for a nap: you choose, instead of putting up with the height two trees impose. The setting takes seconds to change.

Shipping

Orders are picked within 1 to 2 working days, then shipped worldwide. The stand, the fabric, the hooks and the nylon carry bag all travel in the same parcel. A tracking link is sent to you as soon as it ships.

Returns & exchanges

30 days to change your mind. The set must come back complete and in its original packaging — it folds into its bag, so sending it back is simple. Get in touch before any return.

Guarantee

Sunnyard guarantee: if you find a fault on arrival, contact us within 30 days — exchange or refund depending on the case. To make the fabric last, bring it in during heavy rain or for the winter; the stand itself is treated to stay outside.

Two of you, without watching the frame

An entry-level hammock is rated at 120 kg, and has you doing sums before you lie down two-up. This one is rated at 204 kg, on a reinforced steel stand with metal safety hooks. That headroom exists precisely so the question stops coming up: you both get in, you move about, and nothing flexes underneath you.

Six notches — and you set the tension

Between two trees you're stuck with the gap: the fabric is either too taut or too slack, and there's nothing you can do about it. Here the stand is drilled with six notches. Tauter, and you can read sitting upright, back straight. Deeper, and the fabric closes around your body for a nap. It's that adjustment — not the size of the fabric — that makes the difference between twenty minutes and two hours.

No trees, no drilling, no hunting for the right gap

320 cm long, 100 cm high: the stand is free-standing. It sits on the ground and moves by hand — patio, lawn, poolside, living room in winter. Assembly takes about ten minutes; everything slots together, with no tools and no screws to sort through. And the whole thing folds into its nylon carry bag to travel in the boot.

Not a single tree in the garden, so I'd given up on the idea of a hammock. This one comes with its own stand — set up on the patio in ten minutes. We're in it every evening.

  • Julien K. 2 weeks ago

Two adults on it, not a creak, not a worry. The frame is genuinely sturdy for the price.

  • Mathis D. 2 weeks ago

Assembled on my own in a quarter of an hour. Everything slots together, not a single screw. You barely need the instructions.

  • Claire B. 3 weeks ago

The cotton makes all the difference. I had a polyester hammock before and you stuck to it the moment it got warm.

  • Nicolas V. 3 weeks ago

Folded into its bag for a camping weekend, it fits in the boot. Set back up on site in ten minutes.

Very good, but it takes up space once assembled — check you have the clearance before ordering. On a small patio it fills up fast.

  • Thomas P. 1 month ago

The six adjustment notches genuinely earn their keep. Tauter in the morning for reading, deeper in the afternoon for sleeping.

  • Émilie M. 5 days ago

By the pool, we moved it three times to follow the shade. That's the beauty of the free-standing base.

  • Hugo G. 4 days ago

Delivered quickly and well packaged. The stand is heavy to lift out of the box, but after that it's child's play.

  • Amélie L. 10 days ago

My 15-year-old son and me on it at the same time, no problem at all. The 204 kg isn't marketing talk.

  • Romain B. 6 weeks ago

The fabric is perfect, and so is the stand. I'm taking off a star because I'd have liked a winter cover included — you have to buy it separately.

  • Inès N. 2 weeks ago

Set it up in the living room last winter by the patio doors. Nobody expects to see a hammock indoors, and everyone wants a go.

  • Pierre C. 3 weeks ago

The black powder coating holds up well, not a trace of rust after a full season outdoors.

  • Marine F. 12 days ago

A Sunday nap for two has become a ritual. The fabric wraps around you without bending your back.

  • Yanis B. 3 days ago

Unbeatable value: hammocks on their own, without a stand, already cost this much elsewhere.

  • Sophie D. 2 months ago

Perfect in summer. One star off because I bring it in every time there's heavy rain — the fabric dries slowly if you leave it out.
